Project Description:
Our Team was selected by the Corps of Engineers to develop the site and design/build the
new facilities for the 52nd EOD Unit. A 14 acre site was graded and provided with new;
security fencing, storm drainage, landscaping, concrete hardstand for 200 tactical vehicles,
paved parking, site lighting, and 4 buildings with underground utility services and ATFP
provisions.

  • Building #1—Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility
    • An 18,000 sq. ft. maintenance/training facility with 6 repair bays, 2 welding bays and a 4’ x 40’ recessed service pit. The facility is fully sprinkled and includes; vehicle exhaust systems, welding exhaust systems, gas infrared heating, compressed air system, emergency drench shower/eye wash stations, central vehicle fluid (engine & gear oil, antifreeze, etc) distribution systems, and hot/cold water hose bibs throughout the bays. A 10 ton bridge crane is provided. Common vehicle support spaces such as; tool room, consolidated bench repair, DC and 400 Hertz special power supply systems, men and women’s toilet and locker/shower rooms (ADA compliant) and administrative shop control offices.  This building also includes a weapons vault, comsec vault, secured storage, NIPR and SIPR telecom rooms, two training/classrooms, break/conference room, and supporting electrical/mechanical spaces.
  • Building #2— Organizational Storage Building
    • A 7,000 sq. ft. storage facility with mesh partitions dividing assigned spaces.
  • Building #3—Company Readiness Building
    • A two story, 42,200 sq. ft. facility with space for 5 companies.  Each company area includescovered hardstand, readiness bay with personnel lockers, unit storage, NBC storage, Comm storage, secure storage, weapons vault, administrative offices, and electrical/mechanical support spaces.
  • Building #4—Administrative Support Building
    • Separated from building #3 by a covered walkway, this two story, 14,600 sq. ft. facility has 28 offices, 5 conference rooms, SCIF Area, 4 training rooms, 5 storage rooms, and men and women’s toilet and locker/shower rooms, and electrical/mechanical support spaces.

Work Performance
The joint venture team self performed contract administration, CPM scheduling, pre-engineered building erection, door/hardware installation, & electrical. Subcontracted work includes concrete, mechanical, interior finishes, and site work.
